Valerie Faltas Former Tax Assessor Appraiser explains Why She Is THE Property Tax Expert

I am called the Property Tax Expert because I have an array of experience that all relates to property and property taxes. My first experience with property taxes began with a family estate I facilitated and administrated over eleven years ago which included property management, probate, repairs, problems with the attorney and more.

The attorney who handled the state messed up the property taxes in three different ways and so I had to deal with these problems before I ever became an Assessor. After the estate was dissolved, a few years later, I became an Assessor or Real Estate Appraiser for the Los Angeles County Assessors Office.

Within a few months of getting that job I bought my first home, then I bought my second home and then my third home. As I was purchasing these homes I was working as an Assessor and became a licensed residential appraiser and did a few appraisals that way. That is the kind of appraiser you need when you buy a home or refinance. I understood private appraisal, versus government appraisal. I also experienced what it was like to be a homeowner, landlord and have to deal with property taxes with all of that. By 2005 I sold every home I owned and so I saw all sides of the coin, so to speak.

I experienced so many facets of real estate from managing a property to owning a home, to having an investment property. I understand all sides of real estate first hand in addition to working for the Tax Assessor and so my perspective is well-rounded. While I worked for the Tax Assessor I could not share with you, all of the knowledge and insight I gained which is why I decided to leave. Now and through the Property Tax Little Black Book I share with you all of the knowledge and insight I gained through all of my experience.

I call myself, the Property Tax Expert because very few people have the experience I do and are in a position to speak out about what they know. My perspective is unique and so you can ask me an array of questions from appraisal to real estate, to what you need to know before you buy your home to planning and dissolving an estate and I will have some insight for you. I am here to share my experience and insight with you so that you can make sure everything is handled properly when it comes to your property taxes, home, and anything else in real state. You will be hard pressed to find another former Tax Assessor that will speak out. Feel free to contact me with your questions and concerns.
